Crazy for ipad led to sacrifice the kidney

A teenager in China's Anhui province sold his right kidney to buy a new iPad 2, satellite TV channel Dongfang reported Thursday.

Seventeen-year-old Xiao Zheng had been dreaming of a new iPad 2 for a while, but the price was way beyond his means.

Zheng found an agent ready to buy his kidney on the internet and travelled to Hunan Province in central China to undergo surgery in a local hospital.

With the 22,000 yen ($3,900) he was paid, Zheng bought a new iPad 2 and iPhone and then returned home. The boy's mother said she knew nothing of his plans.

"Xiao Zheng returned home with a computer and a new Apple phone. We do not have the money for such expensive gadgets. At first, he did not want to tell me where he got that much money from. Later he confessed he had sold his right kidney to buy these things," his mother told the Dongfang channel.

After she learned the truth, Zheng's mother travelled with her son back to the hospital, only to discover that the operating theater had been rented out for commercial use to a businessman from Fujian Province. Several attempts to reach the agents failed, as their phones were switched off.

Zheng's health is deteriorating day by day, and his mother said she hopes she will be able to find the criminals who disabled her son.

The Water Festival in Myanmar

April in Myanmar means Thinngyan, the Water Festival, a brilliantly colorful occasion the last three days before Myanmar’s New Year Day. Old and young, the people of Myanmar celebrate Thinngyan by throwing water at each other to help cleanse away the old year’s sins and evil to prepare for the coming of the New Year in their country.

During this fun festival, there is also a time to focus on religion, going to the temples and pagodas and doing good deeds for one another. Many families will cook for their neighborhood monks and help their elders with hygiene and other physical chores, as well as donating money for good causes.

As with many other New Year festivals, Thinngyan brings families together to eat, play and share their happiness with others. During this festival, there is no work done, so families can travel to join family members or prepare for visits from their own families at their home. They use this time to make food and sweep away the old year, enjoy traditional games and music, and pay homage to their monks.

Dalit Girl Thrown into Fire by Upper Caste Men

Her pregnant mother severely thrashed while trying to rescue her daughter from flames!

World woke up to the gruesome and spine-chilling story of Kamlesh, a six year old little girl from dalit community in UP, who was tossed into the burning fire by the members from upper caste community in her village three years ago. Her crime: she walked by the house of an upper caste family early in the morning, to go to the open field, the only space the dalit community has to heed the nature's call. Justice denied, accused acquainted, critically wounded, skins cracking and right elbow crippled.

Her fully pregnant mother Manju tried to snatch her from the roaring flames but was stopped by the culprits who stood there to prevent any rescue attempt. They thrashed and beaten her severely. She collapsed to the ground watching flames licking her daughter to death before falling unconscious. She regained consciousness few minutes later and managed to pull her daughter out of the fire. But by then she suffered more than 80% burns and was at the brink of death.

While little Kamlesh battled for her life, five critical hours have been wasted at a government hospital. And after 36 hours she was moved to a bigger hospital before she was finally moved to the Safdarjung hospital in Delhi. Lack of proper treatment at critical hours meant she wouldn't make normal recovery. Three years later, her right hand is a piece of dead rubber having lost mobility and function. Her left hand and right leg burnt severely and she suffer from searing pain. The scars inside her are as fearsome and permanent. A tender, innocent life has been violated and nipped in the bud.

The incident so traumatized her mother, Manju, that she suffered a mental break down and would not recover to testify in the court against the culprits later. None of the neighbors who witnessed the brutal act would come forward to testify against the culprits with muscle power, influence and connections in high places. Many were forced to compromise and others were intimated into silence. Kamlesh's father Saudan says, "Names of four culprits were registered with police. But names of three were removed and only one was arrested. We were forced to withdraw the complaint."

Justice was not only delayed but denied and subverted. It was made to serve the perpetrators! No fair investigation and no protection for the witnesses meant case would fall apart and justice would not be served.

A fact finding team led by Dr. John Dayal - member of National Integration Council, Madhu Chandra - Regional Secretary of All India Christian Council, Vidhya Bhushan Rawat - Social Activist and Anil Chamadia - Seniour Jounalist and Dalit Activist visited the village two months ago was shocked to learn that court had closed the case as there were no witnesses to testify against the culprits. Kamlesh's mother Manju was mentally unstable to appear and testify and all the accused walked out free. It was like rubbing salt into the wound for Kamlesh's family. No justice, no medical assistance, no future. Help from the state government was more a token gesture than real. The incident further deepened their bleak financial condition. They borrowed money from friends and money lenders to treat their daughter which further plunged them into crisis. Victim is further victimized.

This is just an example of the discrimination and oppression millions of dalits suffer daily in India. They suffer in silence and submission. Any form of challenging the system will be fatal and dangerous. Caste lines are not be crossed or violated. A local Dalit activist and leader of All India Confederation of SC/ST Organistations told the fact finding team, "For years, Dalit community in the village has been on the receiving end of caste discrimination and neglect. This is the first instance where police have at least arrested the culprits."

Kamlesh is now nine years old and future doesn't hold much hope for her unless we step in and help. She needs proper medical treatment to regain the use of her hands and extensive plastic surgery to mend her scars before she can face the world.

Husband killed wife and dead body shown on webcam

A man who strangled his pregnant wife and showed her dead body to his father in Romania using a webcam has been arrested here, authorities said.

The incident occurred Monday in the Madrid suburb of Torrejon de Ardoz and the arrest was facilitated by Romanian police.

The killer from Romania, identified only as D.M., strangled his wife, also Romanian, Madrid police commander Emilio Alcazar told a press conference Tuesday.

The 19-year-old victim apparently told her husband that she intended to break off their relationship and said that the child she was expecting was not his.

After strangling her, the man contacted his father in Romania by Internet and using a webcam showed him his wife's body.

He also told his father that when his wife's 13-year-old sister got home, he was going to kill her too.

It was D.M.'s father who alerted Romanian police to the homicide, and they in turn notified the Spanish police.

Spanish police officers went to the couple's home and after they rang several times, D.M. opened the door. Inside they found the woman's body on the bed and the victim's sister, who had just returned home and was unhurt.

When she got home the younger girl apparently asked where her sister was and D.M. told her that she was asleep.

The suspect made no resistance when he was arrested, but has so far declined to give a statement.

The victim's sister, for her part, has gone to live with her mother, who also lives in Spain.

This death brings to 17 the number of women murdered in incidents of domestic violence in Spain to date in 2011.

Shajibu Cheiraoba- Celebration of Continuity

Shajibu Cheiraoba is a sacred and pious socio-religious celebration of the Meeteis observed every year on Shajibu Nongma Panba (in the month of April). The celebration marks the departure of the old year and welcoming of the New Year. On this occasion, houses are renovated and white washed to celebrate the arrival of new season, which marks a rekindling of the spirit of life.

Cheiraoba is an introspection and retrospection- searching and evolving new resolutions for the coming year. Before taking the grand feast, people offer fresh vegetables, fresh fish and cooked vegetarian food at the gate of every household to the Gods and forefathers. After offering to the gods and goddesses, the food items are exchanged with relatives and neighbors. This is called as Mathel Lanba.

One remarkable tradition of Cheiraoba is the villagers climbing up to nearby hilltops (Cheiraoching) in the belief that it enables them to rise to heights in their worldly life, and be hale and hearty in the coming year. There is also a custom that married women should present a gift to her father and brothers, prior to the occasion.

Cheiraoba is a combination of two words, Chahi (year) and Laoba (declaration), meaning the declaration or the announcement of a new year. However, some scholars interpret it as Chei (Stick) and Laoba (declaration), with a different connotation. In ancient times, the king designated a particular man to traverse through all the Leikai (street) and Khungang (village), with bells fixed on a bamboo pole for maximum effect, to announce the onset of the New Year, hence the name Cheiraoba. Another school of thought has a different take on this interpretation. According to them, Pamheiba (the first Hindu king on Kangleipak) under the advice of his Dharma Guru Shantidas, sent forth soldiers with sticks threatening the people to celebrate Cheiraoba as the New Year, in time with the Bengali Charak Puja. They are of the opinion that Wakching, not Shajibu is the first month of the Meetei calendar.

Cheiraoba also known as Kurak Langtaiba, which means the conjoining of two ends, the beginning of the New Year and the end of the old year. This event with all its rites and rituals is an integral part of the lives of the Meeteis. It is an occasion for prayer and celebration. Meeteis, followers of the Sanamahi cult and the Hindu Meetei, celebrate the passing and the coming of the years with equal gusto, praying for peace and prosperity, health, and wealth in the days to come. Everyone pray to the Shidaba Mapu, the almighty, in whose hands lay the fate and fortune of all.

Killing a Friend for December Party Money

A 16-year-old Yash Gupta was stabbed to death in southeast Delhi allegedly by nine of his friends over a rather trivial issue on 12 March 2011.

The victim was a class 10th student of Cambridge School in Sriniwaspuri and had spent Rs 2500 on a party held on December 3 last year in which the culprits had been invited. Later, Yash had started asking the boys to part with their share of the money spent on the party."When his friends refused to pay the money, Yash contacted their families and complained about them. As a result most of the boys were either scolded or given a beating by their parents. Naturally, the culprits were seeking revenge," said a police officer.

The nine boys then decided to settle scores with Yash. They stopped him in the Sriniwaspuri market at 7 pm on Saturday evening when he was going to attend tuition classes and started thrashing him. When Yash tried to flee from the spot all of them chased him to the nearby Ramlila Maidan and then one of the accused stabbed him.

"After that the culprits fled from the spot. A passer-by saw him lying in a pool of blood and took him to AIIMS Trauma Centre and called the police. Before dying, the victim mentioned the names of three of the accused. And the nine boys have been held," the officer added.

"My son was a topper in class. He was having trouble travelling to his school, which was in Sriniwaspuri, so I arranged a rented accommodation for him. There wasn't any cop at the spot where he was attacked. He was thrashed by nine assailants but no one even bothered to save him," said Madan Lal Gupta, father of the deceased.

All of the accused are minors and have been sent to a juvenile home in north Delhi. The victim was a resident of Chandni Chowk in old Delhi. "Seven of the accused are from Sangam Vihar area and two of them are students of Open Schools. We can't reveal their names as all of the accused are juvenile," a police officer said.

Status of women in Manipur

The Meiteis have been told by their forefathers what is ought to be done and what is not to be done. Gradually these become taboos. There are also cases where taboos originated out of fear. For instance, the intermarriage among the same Yek (clan) is not allowed and this is regarded as taboo. This may have been out of fear of the dominant or powerful king that the marriage alliance of might become a threat to its power. Instances were there that the Meetei kings instituted various taboos for their own benefits too.

During the reign of Maharaj Churachand Singh no women were permitted to untie the back knot of their hairs before him. They were also not allowed to enjoy the shade of an umbrella before him.

The Meiteis regard the menstrual period of women as inauspicious. During this period, the woman is regarded as untouchable. Physical intimacy or contact of man-woman is strictly prohibited. On the fifth day of the period, women need a clean bath with the washing of her head and thereafter, her normal life starts. Women are also prohibited from eating certain food items, particularly which are bitter and sour in taste. Social contact with a lady during child birth is a cultural taboo. She is kept in seclusion, aloof of the society for 12 days – the period being observed by the entire clan as Yum Mangba, which is considered as an inauspicious days during which no pujah (worships) of gods can be performed by the members of family and Sagei (clan), except on the sixth day after birth.

The husband, during the period of his wife’s pregnancy will not g for hunting or may not indulge in any act of violence. He should not share bed with his wife at the advanced stage of pregnancy too. It is believed that she should not see the Hindu gods and goddesses like Lord Jagathnath or Goddess Kali during pregnancy, for if she feels fear, she might deliver a deformed child. She should also abandon all types of twin fruits or vegetables. If she eats these food stuffs, it is believed she will have a twin baby.

Failing Girl Asked to Sleep with Principal in Indian University

More marks for more sex!! Is it true?

The Madhya Pradesh government has ordered an investigation into the sex-for-marks scandal at the Rani Durgavati University in Jabalpur.

Madhya Pradesh Education Minister Laxmikant Sharma said that the state government has formed a committee to investigate the matter."The government has taken the matter very seriously. We have suspended two officials. Also we have formed a high level committee and sent it to Jabalpur to look into the matter. The police will do its job but the Higher Education Department will also take strict action once the committee comes out with its findings," Sharma said in Bhopal on Friday.

Madhya Pradesh Police have arrested four officials, including the university's deputy registrar, Ravindra Kakoria, in connection with the sex-for-marks scandal. The police have also arrested Raju Khan, the alleged kingpin in the case.

Investigations revealed that the Controller of examinations SH Rana and Kakoria, were involved in the scam. The police have also raided the University several times in the past two days.

Students have also threatened to indefinitely shut down the university if all the culprits are not booked.
The scandal came to light after a first year medical student complained that she was told that she could get her marks increased if she had sex with Khan.

"Even before the first year results were out, I was approached by Prerna of fourth year saying I was failing in two subjects and that I could get my marks increased in re-evaluation if I slept with one Raju Khan. I just ignored her but when my result came I was failing in the two subjects that I was told," said the complainant of Netaji Subhash Chandra Medical College affiliated to the Rani Durgavati University.

The manager of the Blue Moon hotel where these students were taken has also been arrested.
However, the fourth year student who allegedly approached the complainant and the owner of the hotel are absconding.

Be cautious when sharing autorikshaw in Delhi

Sharing an autorickshaw with someone in order to save a few bucks may seem a good idea, but it has its dangers. And if you think that it's safe to be stingy during the day, Jaiprakash and Sangeeta would disagree with you.

The couple were attacked by three miscreants, who were travelling with them, in broad daylight on Sunday. While two of the hoodlums managed to escape after snatching Sangeeta's gold chain, the third was caught by Jaiprakash and the auto driver. The cops arrested him, but only after he had received a thrashing from the mob that had gathered.

Jaiprakash and Sangeeta, residents of Agra had come to the Capital to attend a wedding ceremony in Nand Nagri area of east Delhi. The couple got down from the train at New Delhi Railway Station on Sunday morning. Since their destination was some distance away, Jaiprakash decided to get an auto.

"As I hailed a TSR, three guys came over and asked me where I was headed. After hearing my reply they said they were going in the same direction and if we shared the auto with them all of us would save some money. They convinced us and we decided to go along. As the auto reached the Yamuna Bridge my wife saw one of the guys swiping something from our luggage. My wife shouted at him but suddenly all the three guys took out knives and threatened us of dire consequences. They tried to push me and my wife out of the auto but I managed to jump off holding one of the robbers. Meanwhile the auto stopped in the middle of the road. Two of the robbers snatched a gold chain from my wife and fled from the scene. But with the help of the auto driver I held on to the third miscreant," said Jaiprakash.

It was about 10.30am, so a lot of onlookers had gathered at the spot. Someone called the police. But before the cops could reach the scene the culprit had been beaten black and blue and had even lost his shirt.
The accused later revealed his name as Mohammad Toshi and said he is a resident of east Delhi. Cops claim that the two remaining culprits would be arrested very soon. But at the police station the victims refused to lodge a case. However, the cops arrested and booked the accused.

"The victims decided not to file charges since they are from out of town and didn't want to be dragged into a prolonged legal process. We have arrested the accused under section 110 of the IPC and we are investigating the case," confirmed Vivek Kishore, DCP Central District.

Breast Milk Ice Cream Launching Soon

Forget about Vanilla, Choco or Strawberry flavour when you order for an ice cream. A specialist ice cream parlour plans to serve up breast milk ice cream and says people should think of it as an organic, free-range treat.

The breast milk concoction, called the "Baby Gaga", will be available from Friday at the Icecreamists restaurant in London's Covent Garden. Icecreamists founder Matt O'Connor was confident his take on the "miracle of motherhood" and priced at a hefty 14 pounds ($23) a serving will go down a treat with the paying public.

The breast milk was provided by mothers who answered an advertisement on online mothers' forum Mumsnet. Victoria Hiley, 35, from London was one of 15 women who donated milk to the restaurant after seeing the advert. Hiley works with women who have problems breast-feeding their babies. She said she believes that if adults realised how tasty breast milk actually is, then new mothers would be more willing to breast-feed their own newborns.

"What could be more natural than fresh, free-range mother's milk in an ice cream? And for me it's a recession beater too -- what's the harm in using my assets for a bit of extra cash," Hiley said in a statement.

"I tried the product for the first time today -- it's very nice, it really melts in the mouth." The Baby Gaga recipe blends breast milk with Madagascan vanilla pods and lemon zest, which is then churned into ice cream.

O'Connor said the Baby Gaga was just one of a dozen radical new flavours at the shop. "Some people will hear about it and go, 'yuck' but actually it's pure, organic, free-range and totally natural," he said. "I had a Baby Gaga just this morning and I feel great."

Think Twice Before Going to Vrindavan -Holy Land of the Hindus

The controversial Vrindavan 'Porn Swamy', accused of making pornographic clips and movies using holy motifs and the backdrop of deities, was arrested Monday afternoon after more than ten days on the run, police said.

The temple city of Mathura, 380 km from Uttar Pradesh state capital Lucknow, was outraged after the case surfaced earlier this month, with Hindutva groups burning his effigies and demanding firm action.

The Bhagwatacharya, described as a multi-faceted personality, has been accused of producing movies against the backdrop of ghats, holy shrines and the Yamuna river, police sources said.

Police said Rajendra, who is a popular katha vachak (narrator of mythological tales) and painter, made porn clips for his foreign disciples, who helped him market these through some websites.

Police in Vrindavan, 15 km from Mathura, confiscated a movie camera, CDs, and hours of footage with kids, his wife and some foreigners. Mathura police said he had been booked under section 377 (unnatural sex) of the Indian Penal Code and 67B of the IT Act.

Mathura police presented the arrested Swami before mediapersons late Monday evening. However, Rajendra said he had made the films and clips of his wife for his personal use, which were later stolen and misused by some people. He told police that he was a painter and an artist and he used his wife as a model to make paintings. His wife was not brought before the media.

The investigating officer said some of the pictures show him engaged in 'unnatural sex', while a few others show the couple with small kids in obscene acts. Both of t hese being cognisable offences, the two have been arrested, he added.

The Bhagwatacharya denied all the allegations and said the CDs had been doctored.

Earlier, his wife filed a police complaint against an IT firm which allegedly leaked the film from a laptop Rajendra had given for repair. She told police that Rs.10 lakh was allegedly demanded in ransom before the footage went into public circulation.

Mathura's Superintendent of Police (city) Ram Kishore Verma said that Rajendra and his family members had been shuttling between Kanpur, Mathura and Ghaziabad to avoid arrest. Investigating officer Vivek Tripathi arrested him Monday as soon as he entered his house.

A police team also seized CDs and cameras from his relative's house in Ghaziabad.

Where has true love gone nowadays?

After his ex-girlfriend refused to marry him, he uploaded video clips of them having sex at various websites

Even in Manipur state, there are several cases where jilted lover uploaded or circulated the MMS of their loved ones. recent case were the muslim girl scandal and the RIIMS staffs. If you thought you have had enough of MMS scandals, you thought wrong. After the infamous Mungare Male and Mysore Mallige sex CDs, a new MMS clip is gaining notoriety in north Karnataka.

The girl featured in the video is Soumya (name changed) a former beauty queen from Dharwad, and has also won won state-level table tennis competitions. A local source said that while she was doing her post-graduation from Karnataka University, she came in contact with Ashwath, a married man. They became intimate, and toured the state on several occasions together.

After completing her studies, Soumya moved to Karwar and cut off all ties with Ashwath. She also changed her mobile number, following which Ashwath tried to track her. Finally in February, he managed to find her new number, spoke to her, and proposed to marry her. But Soumya refused because he was already married.

Enraged, Ashwath mailed her some stills and videos and said that if she didn't agree to continue meeting him, he would upload them on social networking sites, and on YouTube. A frightened Soumya told her parents everything, and met the Karwar Superintendent of Police, who let off Ashwath with just a warning.

But on December 28, 2010 Ashwath uploaded Soumya's video clip on YouTube and sent another clip to all his friends through MMS. Soumya was not available for comment, while the police are looking for Ashwath, who is absconding.

Raping an 84 Year Old Granny in San Diego!!!

Almost a decade after an 84-year-old retired psychiatrist was found dead in a Carlsbad retirement community, the man convicted of sexually assaulting and killing her was sentenced  to 34 years to life in prison.

Alejandro Avalos Fernandez, 34, pleaded guilty in October to first-degree murder and rape in connection with the strangling death of Gladys Conrad and agreed to the sentence. He also pleaded guilty to assault with intent to commit rape, stemming from a 2004 attack on a woman in Los Angeles.

Vista Superior Court Judge Daniel Goldstein sentenced Fernandez according to his plea agreement and ordered him to register as a sex offender for life.Conrad’s daughters, Lily and Natalie Conrad, appeared in court Thursday but did not speak in open court. Instead, a victim impact coordinator from the District Attorney’s Office read aloud from a statement by the two sisters.

“The killing of our mother was a horrible and senseless tragedy which changed the lives of my sister and me forever,” they said, adding that their petite mother suffered from severe arthritis in her hands and back.
“My sister and I remain extremely sad and angry,” they continued. “He murdered our mother and ruined our lives.”

Conrad’s body was found Sept. 1, 2001, inside her apartment at the Carlsbad by the Sea Retirement Community. An autopsy showed signs of sexual assault. Authorities collected DNA at the time but were unable to identify a suspect. Three years later, that DNA was matched to evidence collected from an unsolved attempted rape of a 64-year-old nursing home employee in Los Angeles, who bit her attacker.
Still the case remained unsolved.

In 2007, Fernandez was arrested in Los Angeles on a drug charge. Authorities took a sample of his DNA but didn’t enter it into a database until three weeks later. By then he had been released from custody.
Fernandez was arrested in Mexico City on Jan. 23, 2009. Because he fought extradition, it took 13 months for him to be returned to San Diego County.

What will happen if man begins to born baby

This is an archive news on wired things. I was imagining how will a man undergoes  10 months ordeal if he got pregnant. An amazing thing happened to Sanju Bhagat, a 36-year-old farmer living in a small village near Nagpur city in India. He had an unusually large stomach for as long as he could remember but because he was a very thin man; his odd complexion reminded everyone of a pregnant woman. According to the man’s own account all the neighbors used to laugh at his stomach’s size.

Finally the belly had become so huge that the poor farmer could barely breathe, and the issue was no longer a cosmetic one.

When the ambulance finally brought him to the hospital he was immediately sent to the operation room. The doctors assumed that what he had was a gigantic tumor and were very concerned about all sorts of complications during the operation. They were prepared for the worst as they set off to remove the malignant formation, and no one dared to imagine what kind of thing they would soon discover. As soon as the surgeon cut deeper into the belly, almost a bucket of liquid spilled out onto the surface. Then the extraordinary thing happened. The doctor placed his hand inside and announced that there were many bones. “First one limb came out, then another. Then a genitalia fragment, hair, limbs, jaws…” – recalls one of the surgeon’s assistants. Out of Sanju’s stomach came forth a weird half-formed creature with well-developed arms and legs and quite long nails.

As it turned out Bhagat had one of the rarest medical anomaly: fetus in fetu, and the horrific-looking creature pulled out of him in actuality was a mutated body of his twin brother.

According to the doctors’ reports there are only 90 known cases in the history of medicine when a twin sibling gets trapped by the second one and continues its development as a parasite. This tends to happen very early in pregnancy and usually both of the twins die before birth. In rare times, however, the twin survives with the other inside and goes on living while carrying and feeding an underdeveloped parasitical fetus through their shared umbilical chord. Usually there is medical intervention at the point when the parasite becomes so big that it causes harm to its host.

Immediately after the surgery Sanju began to feel a lot better. When the doctors told him what (or rather whom) they removed from his body, he refused to take a look at his “brother.” The man ended up going back to his village and continues a normal life there. But he still gets teased a lot when people tell each other that the farmer went to the city to have a baby.
